US Country duo American Young took to the Chengdu Auto Music Festival in China – the only foreign act to perform at the festival this year – and performed to a sold out audience of 20k fans.
Following that amazing experience, the duo performed in Beijing at a banquet that was hosted in their honour. Chinese artists, TV executives, music producers and film directors were also in attendance, some whom took interest in collaborating with the duo. As a result, American Young are set to return to China this fall.

This is such an incredible opportunity to share between cultures. China has 1.4 billion people who are eager to learn and appreciate American music and arts, and what better way to start off than with a country band. This is just the beginning, as Curb Records has plans to introduce more of their artists to China, hopefully expanding the music market.
Curb Record’s American Young are a duo made up of Jon Stone and Kristy Osmunson. Individually these two have established themselves quite the career in country music, with Jon having written and produced several hits including Kenny Chesney’s “Seven Days” and Blake Shelton’s “Kiss My Country Ass”, while Kristy co-founded her previous duo Bomshel among other successful songwriting feats. Coming together to form American Young, could be the best move so far, having written 11 of the 12 tracks on their debut album. Their international success is not limited to just China either, having sold out venues in various countries around the world.
