C2C 2019 Wishlist

If the previous years are anything to go by, we are still months away from any big C2C announcements but we can speculate and dream. So, here’s my Top 10 Wishlist.

1. Chris Stapleton

Following his stellar performance in 2016, and two amazing albums, UK fans have been waiting for Chris Stapleton’s return. What better than perhaps a headlining set at Country to Country 2019?

2. Maddie and Tae

Another act who have played the festival before, but Maddie and Tae are so loyal to their UK fans and with the announcement of new music it seems fitting that they should have a slot on the main stage at C2C 2019, perhaps bigger than when they played in 2016.

C2C Highlights

Bear with me while I recover from the weekend and cope with the fact C2C is over for another year. Before I post my reviews, here’s a list my Top 10 best things at C2C 2018, not necessarily in order.

1. Walker Hayes in the NY-LON Lounge Bar.

For those lucky enough to see anyone in the NY-LON Lounge Bar, you’ll know what an amazing, intimate venue it is. As a huge fan of Walker Hayes it was such a privilege to see him in such a setting and I only wish more gigs could be like that!

2. Lindsay Ell on the BBC Radio 2 stage.

The biggest disappointment for the initial C2C line up for me, was that Lindsay Ell only had a slot on the Spotlight Stage, when I feel that she is worthy of so much more. So, Continue reading “C2C Highlights”

‘Sweet Spot’ For Jeannine Barry

Just in time for her appearance at C2C 2018, the UK’s very own Jeannine Barry is set to release her new single, ‘Sweet Spot’ this Friday, March 9th.

The new single comes just over a year after the release of ‘Bittersweet’ which reached the Top 3 of the UK Country iTunes chart, a huge deal for any UK country artist. The singer-songwriter has been compared to Carrie Underwood, though her voice reminds me more of Faith Hill. Either way, not bad company to be in for Jeannine Barry.

Barry posted a sneak peak of ‘Sweet Spot’ on her twitter page. The song has a more upbeat, more established feel than her previous EP, with a sound that could put her in that Top 3 once again.

So if you’ve got a ‘Sweet Spot’ for Barry, then make sure to download the new single, Friday 9th March and catch one of her performances at C2C Festival in London next weekend. Barry will perform six times, on three different stages across the three days. Catch her stage times and locations below and support UK country acts at C2C 2018.
